Playboard Puppets, founded in 1971 by John Thirtle and Ian Allen.

Primarily famous for their signature show Button Moon, they have also developed and taken roles in many other programmes - including the creation and playing of Zippy and George on Rainbow.

John Thirtle died in 1995, but Playboard continues to operate under Ian Allen.
