Filmation Associates is a company producing animated shows, usually based on action figure toy lines in conjunction with Mattel.

The company was founded in 1963 by Lou Scheimer, Norman Prescott and Hal Sutherland.

Lou Scheimer produced most of the shows, and provided many voices for the characters within them. Sadly he now has Parkinson's disease and no longer works.

Filmation is most famous for the He-Man series and its spin-offs.

The Filmation back catalogue is now owned by Entertainment Rights.
