The Poddington Peas
The Poddington Peas was a cartoon series, consisting of 13 episodes, made for British television in 1986 (first broadcast 1989), by Colin Wyatt. The Poddington Peas were a group of animated peas who lived in a flower pot village, named Poddington, at the bottom of a grassy garden.
In 1992, Phil Gardner was commissioned to write some new episodes for a new series, including a US pilot episode. Sadly, they never got made. However, Phil has placed stories for three episodes on his website.

Lyrics
Down at the bottom of the garden,
Among the birds and the bees.
There live a lot of little people,
They're called The Poddington Peas
There's Cre-Pea, Black Eye-Pea and Dum-Pea.
Keep it a secret now please.
Theres Zip-Pea, Hap-Pea and there's Sweet-Pea
And all the Poddington Peas!
The Poddington Peas!
