This was a BBC adaptation of some of the books by C.S. Lewis.

It concentrates on the adventures of the four Pevensie children: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy; as well as their cousin Eustace Scrubb.

Four of the seven books were produced:

Book #2 : The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (1988)
Book #4 : Prince Caspian (1989)
Book #5 : The Voyage of the Dawn Trader (1989)
Book #6 : The Silver Chair (1990)

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is by far the most well remembered of these, broadcast on BBC1, in the run-up to Christmas, from 13th November in six parts, shown on Sunday evenings.

Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader were produced as one continuous story, with two episodes for Prince Caspian, followed by a further four covering The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

A movie was produced in 2005 by Disney and was hugely successful, further films are planned, Prince Caspian is scheduled for release in 2008.
